Biography: Lisa started songwriting at the age of 14, to which a publisher was interested in her lyrics. But being young, she wouldn't separate the lyrics from the music. Her major instrument is pipe organ, winning several organ competitions in the Midwest, though she is also proficient in piano. Lisa went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. Lisa is a storyteller through music. She has written about Alzheimer's, the effects of war on families, and love knowing no boundaries. Being a songwriter, she draws upon a vast community of talented performers to record her demos. Because of her organ backround, Lisa has a passion for Johann Sebastian Bach. She also has a fondness for the music of the 1930's and 1940's; "they hold some of the greatest songwriters of our time". Her current influences are country songwriters who can tell a great story in less than 4 minutes.
